Assignment description : VISA-AD “International Volunteering in the Service of Others” is a structure for sending, welcoming and supporting young volunteers motivated for social or educational services in France and abroad. Its role as a Union of Associations is to organize, recruit, monitor and train volunteers. We provide administrative support and advice to organizations so that missions are carried out in accordance with the ethics of Volunteering.
The volunteer will be able to invest in the project of the Refuge Re Carlo Alberto center, which welcomes elderly people with loss of autonomy or dependent people and specializes in supporting people with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
This mission is part of a project to maintain and develop the autonomy of elderly people in Italy. The center offers actions and activities that aim to contribute to the well-being and maintain the autonomy of its beneficiaries.
You will be able to support the center team and get involved in the implementation of activities and in the daily support of the center's beneficiaries.
✔️ You will be able to participate and support actions that aim to maintain autonomy and promote the well-being of beneficiaries: the animation of activities and workshops such as painting, cooking, reading books, etc.
✔️ You will accompany the beneficiaries of the center during daily life activities: help during meals, hydration of the beneficiaries, walks etc.
You will be involved in the weekly planning of the center's work and activities and will be able to offer your own ideas for activities according to your own interests and desires.

Housing and food are entirely taken care of by the structure. You will benefit from mandatory PSC1 training, “civic & civic” preparation for departure and practical training upon arrival. You will be supervised by a professional team and supported in the construction of your future project.
