Assignment description :
As a regional network of actors in international cooperation and solidarity, Réseau Bretagne Solidaire supports and federates all solidarity initiatives of structures (associations, communities and public institutions) in Brittany, wishing to act to help people discover the world, for more solid and sustainable cooperation and solidarity. Supported in particular by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Regional Council of Brittany, we train, support and inform project leaders in Brittany on international cooperation and solidarity projects, on all themes related to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Réseau Bretagne Solidaire is recruiting 2 young people in international civic service for an 8-month mission at Blolab, the fablab in Cotonou, Benin, between May and December 2025. Two missions supported by the Brittany Region and France Volontaires, and the Volunteer Territories (TEVO) program.
The objective of the mission is to contribute to digital education and the spirit of initiative of young people in Africa, to contribute to the search for low-tech solutions, adapted to the local context, around issues of energy, pollution, housing, agriculture...
The proposed actions:
Participate in digital education workshops for schoolchildren, middle and high school students;
Participate in the organization of events (Challenges, Make Africa 2025);
Experimenting with low-tech projects: plastic recycling, manufacturing pollution sensors...
Participate in welcoming members of the fablab and in the animation of the place.
The volunteer will receive initial training before leaving for Benin, and training upon return as part of their future project.
The tutoring will be carried out in Benin by Mr. Médard AGBAYAZON (Blolab), and in France by Martin LOZIVIT, project manager at the Réseau Bretagne Solidaire.
