Assignment description : VISA-AD “International Volunteering in the Service of Others” is a structure for sending, welcoming and supporting young volunteers motivated for social or educational services in France and abroad. Its role as a Union of Associations is to organize, recruit, monitor and train volunteers. We provide administrative support and advice to organizations so that missions are carried out in accordance with the ethics of Volunteering.
You will work in support of the team in the Casa Mia E. Nitti Social Center with children aged 5 to 13 from disadvantaged neighborhoods in Naples in order to offer them socio-educational activities.
Since its creation in 1983, “Casa Mia” has been carrying out social actions aimed at supporting children from disadvantaged neighborhoods in Naples: the center aims to create favorable conditions for the development of children through extra-curricular activities and socio-educational workshops.

You can get involved, in collaboration with the team of animators and the socio-educational staff of the center, in the implementation and development of the following actions:
✅ Support the animation team in extra-curricular activities;
✅ Help with the “homework laboratory”, which is the school support program offered by the center for children aged 5 to 13;
✅ Suggest activities and help the socio-educational team in the after-school program;
✅ Listen to the beneficiaries and create social ties by sharing your own culture (for example, you can offer a French language workshop).
✅ Participate in the maintenance of the center and its spaces.

You will be accommodated and fed free of charge by the organization. You will benefit from mandatory PSC1 training, preparation for departure and 3 seminars with international volunteers in Italy. You will be supported in organizing your departure and your installation in Italy.
