Assignment description :
VISA-AD “International Volunteering in the Service of Others” is a structure for sending, welcoming and supporting young volunteers motivated for social or educational services in France and abroad. Its role as a Union of Associations is to organize, recruit, monitor and train volunteers. We provide administrative support and advice to organizations so that missions are carried out in accordance with the ethics of Volunteering.
You will support the operation and implementation of actions in an ancient monastery near Saragossa. It is a historic site offering multiple activities (welcoming groups, training center, heritage promotion, activities for children, etc.).
The monastery is a training center and a place for tourist visits. This center welcomes individuals as well as families, and aims to promote social diversity and to welcome modest families.
Actions
✅ You will be involved in the daily life of the center, its activities and services: cooking (preparation, storage); maintenance (preparing the premises for group visits, participating in the maintenance of green areas, taking care of the chickens); work (various repairs, renovation of certain rooms/premises, assistance with small DIY needs etc.); laundry.
✅ Welcoming the public: participate in welcoming visitors and in promoting cultural heritage through presentations of places and proposals for the development of means of communication.
✅ Solidarity actions: you will help during the collections and participate in the sorting of food donations.
✅ Support and entertainment (from time to time) with children (daycare, school support, animation of leisure activities, organization of outings, etc.)
You will be trained to support people and supported in organizing your departure and installation in Spain. You will be accommodated free of charge by the host structure. You will benefit from a Spanish course (once a week) during the first 3 months. You will benefit from mandatory PSC1 training, “civic & civic” preparation for departure and educational training upon arrival.
