Assignment description :
VISA-AD “International Volunteering in the Service of Others” is a structure for sending, welcoming and supporting young volunteers motivated for social or educational services in France and abroad. Its role as a Union of Associations is to organize, recruit, monitor and train volunteers. We provide administrative support and advice to organizations so that missions are carried out in accordance with the ethics of Volunteering.
This mission is part of a project to develop relationships and collaboration with the “Chemin Neuf” association in Belgium. You will be able to contribute to the activities of a former monastery transformed into a guest house. Volunteers in action 👉: https://www.instagram.com/p/CtL0GvLNkyf/
The objective of this project is to enable young French people to perform civic service abroad and thus contribute to a global project of reception and exchanges in a context of socio-cultural diversity.

- You will be involved in the activities set up by the center, which mainly welcomes groups and families.
- You will be able to support the team in charge of welcoming visitors. Your mission will be to:
- Participate in the daily life of the house (cooking, work, etc.), the improvement and maintenance of the monastery's real estate assets
- Contribute to the development of the park and the garden near the house.
- Promote exchanges with the people welcomed
- Help with entertainment from time to time (activities related to the care of children, etc.)
- If you have a green thumb and appreciate the link with nature and the land, this is an opportunity to get involved in diversified agricultural gardening activities with an organization that is a partner of the host structure. You can work from time to time in the grocery store managed by the structure.
You will be accommodated and fed free of charge by the host structure. You will benefit from the mandatory PSC1 training, to prepare for the “civic & citizen” departure. You will be supervised by a professional team and supported for your installation and for the construction of your future project.
