Assignment description : AEC-Foyer Lataste The mission of the association Aide aux Enfants Cambodiens (AEC) is to support the development of the Banteay Meanchey region, mainly in the fields of education and child protection. Independent and faith-based, the association has been working since 1998 in this region of northwestern Cambodia to support and strengthen the empowerment of the most vulnerable children and their families since 1998. More than 300 beneficiaries are thus supported each year by AEC and its sister association, ATDJK (a Khmer organization present alongside AEC since the creation of the project) through 7 programs covering child protection, access to education, access to education, vocational training and higher education, as well as agroecology. To organize the implementation of these programs, our beneficiaries can count on a local team composed of 17 local members of the ATDJK, a VSI field coordinator and two civic services for AEC. After more than 25 years of work in the region, and in order to follow the evolution of the situation in Cambodia, AEC is now seeking to develop and modernize its fundraising and communications strategies, as well as to strengthen the care of the beneficiaries of its child protection programs. In this context, the association decided to create two civic service missions in “animation and support for educational programs” and in “executive assistance and communication” in order to provide support to the team while offering a unique opportunity to young professionals wishing to carry out an international volunteering mission in the field of international solidarity.
The objective of the mission is to respond to the challenges of international solidarity in Cambodia by supporting disadvantaged children and youth. The volunteer in animation and support for educational programs will support those responsible for child protection and access to education programs in the framework of the establishment of thematic activities.
The actions proposed to volunteers:
Animation
· Establishment of thematic animation cycles for children attending primary school and from the child protection program (aged 6 to 14).
· Preparation of awareness-raising campaigns in collaboration with program managers and volunteer groups.
· Setting up summer camps and fun events for beneficiaries.

Educational support
· Assistance in the preparation of workshops on soft skills for program managers.
· Support for the accountability project for middle and high school students at Foyer Lataste.

Administrative Assistance:
· Support the identification of failures in the educational system and in the care of Foyer Lataste beneficiaries.
