Assignment description : A bi-governmental organization, the Office Franco-Québécois pour la Jeunesse (OFQJ) is a generator of opportunities for 18-35 year olds. Established in France and Quebec, the OFQJ advises and supports nearly 5,000 young French people aged 18 to 35 each year in their mobility project across the Atlantic (internship, temporary employment, participation in an event, event, commercial mission, thematic delegation, etc.).
The objective is to strengthen access to culture in Francophonie (Francophone minority environment). The civic service volunteer will play an essential role in supporting the programming of cultural activities, by contributing directly to their implementation, to coordination with partners, and by promoting the inclusion of various Francophone communities.
The volunteer is called upon to contribute to the promotion of the French language and culture and will have the following tasks:

• Support for the organization and animation of cultural activities offered by the organization

• Support for the recruitment and supervision of stakeholders, artists and project volunteers

• Support for the logistical organization of activities (programming, schedule, travel, etc.)

• Support for the promotion of the organization's activities among users and the local population, in particular via the Hého platform: https://www.heho-halifax.ca/

• Report writing support

The volunteer will be required to work on the organization's regular cultural programming but also on the Grou Tyme festival (August 2025), the Francofest festival in collaboration with the coordinators of the general public and youth programming and the festival organizing committee.
